Concerning Stockholm public toilets supplied by JCDecaux
We at JCDecaux are very proud of the toilets we have delivered to Stockholm. The toilets are adapted for accessibility far above the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's rules and are hugely appreciated. They are self-cleaning, open around the clock and free to visit. The maintenance work is more extensive when the toilet visits are free, but it is part of our commitment to the city and is of course appreciated by all those who need quick access to a toilet.
The number of visitors to our toilets testifies to the great benefit they provide, not least in keeping the streets of Stockholm clean and fresh. In June 2023 alone, we had 68,984 registered visits. In total, we had well over half a million visits in 2023 and 2024 looks set to top that figure.
The toilets are linked to the ToaSverige app, which easily guides you to the nearest available public toilet. In the app, you can also rate the toilet in the range 1-5 toilet rolls. The app currently has over 30,000 downloads.
Our co-operation with the City of Stockholm has been very good. We cannot pre-empt the processes in the City of Stockholm where the final decisions regarding the future of the toilets lie.
