Gothenburg's top politicians in JCDecaux's Cycling Battle for the third year in a row at Almedalen
Axel Josefsson (M), Naod Habtemichael (C), Grith Fjeldmose (V) and Elisabeth Lann (KD) from the Gothenburg City Council gave it their all during the now traditional Bikebattle in Visby during Almedals Week.
Under 45 sweaty seconds it was trampled for the joy of life at Kallis in Visby. In heats of two, the politicians against each other and the prize pool was 25.000 kr to donate to any charity.
In heat 1 won Axel Josefsson, chairman of the municipal council, against Grith Fjeldmose.
- This is a fun thing, and that to donate money to charity feels great," says Axel Josefson. The money goes To the Rescue Mission in Gothenburg. It's an organization that is important and has made significant contributions, but has had a hard time lately so they are worth an extra contribution.
In heat 2 Elisabeth Lann won against Naod Habtemichael. Elisabet chose to give the prize money to Grunden boys, who are a sports club open to all but with a special focus on young people with intellectual disabilities.
From Liberals, Jakob Norrhall, who had to step in at the last second as replacement for Axel Darvik. Jakob took the win in his race against Russian Posten. The money will go to Stadsmissionen in Gothenburg.
