We are more than just outdoor advertising
JCDecaux offers Sweden's advertising buyers the best advertising spaces with the highest reach in the largest cities - but JCDecaux is so much more than just outdoor advertising. We are a family business that for almost 60 years has stood for quality, innovation, sustainability and environmental care in all our commitments. Today, JCDecaux is the world's leading company in the design, installation and maintenance of advertising-financed street furniture and has long-term partnership agreements with some 4,000 cities in 85 different countries.
With smart, innovative and attractive solutions, we improve the lives of urban citizens in Sweden. Municipalities offers well-maintained street furniture of high quality and stylish design. Today, JCDecaux has installed approximately 9 000 street furniture in the country distributed among others on 3000 weather protection, 70 fully automatic toilets, 1500 city information boards and over 3000 bins. Everything is funded by advertising and doesn't cost the taxpayer a penny.
JCDecaux's business concept is to provide advertising-financed street furniture such as glazed weather shelters, public toilets, city information, litter bins, loaner bike systems and much more, free of charge, to major cities around the world. Investment, maintenance and prompt action against all forms of vandalism for this street furniture is always part of JCDecaux's commitment to the cities we work with.

Our solutions and services make everyday life easier for thousands of people across Sweden. We meet people's various needs in public spaces, such as a weatherproof bus shelter, a fresh public toilet or an easily accessible bicycle pump at one of our billboards in town. Our street furniture is designed to give cities, transport hubs and commercial centres a harmonious and modern appearance.
Innovation
In 1964, JCDecaux invented the first designed weather protection with integrated advertising display for the benefit of public transport passengers.
JCDecaux has its own development department of 100 (updated number) people who exclusively develop concepts for new innovative street furniture to contribute to a beautiful, functional, clean and safe urban environment in the cities we work with. A major investment in product development since its inception in 1964, has been the foundation of JCDecaux's success.
We currently hold over 900 patents on various street furniture innovations ranging from weather protection and traffic information systems to fully automated public toilets and recycling stations.
Quality and functionality
JCDecaux produces all street furniture in its own facilities in France to ensure quality, longevity, durability, ease of maintenance and recyclability. Street furniture must fulfil a concrete function in the urban environment and meet high standards of accessibility and adaptability.
